Hard Dog Sport with Double Diagonal Install
This can be a daunting task. It isn't for the faint of heart nor one without All the Right Tools. Put the rear up on jack stands & remove the rear wheels at some point. I didn't show the part where I had to drill through the body into the rear wheel wells for the bolt holes & metal backing plates of the bar. Working mostly by myself, the entire install took 2 full days.
OK, seats removed. |
Peel back the carpeting & remove the back deck. |
More carpeting removed and seat belts removed from their housing. The ECU is going to have to be modified b/c it's in the way. |
Close up of the seat belts removed from the housing. |
Carefully cut the sheet metal to allow the rear of the bar to slide in. This part is really scary. |
Test fit of the bar. It fits! The ECU is definitely in the way & the mounts for it had to be modified. |
The bar all bolted up with the rear deck & seat belt towers re-installed. |
Seats back in. Carpet & plastic side panels trimmed to fit. Temporary solution for the Oris windblocker. |
