Outboard side of starter.  Notice the hole.  Something must have flown out of the engine, bounced off of something inside the engine bay and then contacted the starter, knocking out a chunk

#4 piston came right out of the cylinder without any trouble.  IOW, it didn't seize to the cylinder.
