The STO Registry
The Special Touring Option, or STO Edition was Mazda's way of saying, "Good-bye" to the NA models (aka, M1 = Miata made in 1990-1997 in the original body style. Miata made 1999-Present have been designated NB & the soon to be NC in 2005). The last 1500 production vehicles were painted in the same color; had the same color scheme; and had the same standard features from the factory. Each vehicle was numbered and issued a Certificate of Authenticity & dashplaque (as seen below).
